Well its a wet Thursday evening here in Dublin. Thursdays are always a mad one for me as I have a gig on a Thursday no matter what I do. I have been running the gig in The International bar for 6 years now. I am going to go down there tonight as I want to try out some ideas before the gig in Vicar St.
My day started off weird because a journalist from the Irish Independent asked me how I felt as an american to see the bodies of Americans torn apart in Fallujah. He is quite right wing and insinuated that the people who did it were savages. No doubt they were but it does not make me hate the world of Islam. Nor does it make me think that these people hate civilisation. I don't think America is really trying to bring civilisation there either. Its all spin.

So I told him that as an American it did not affect me in a different way than had they been from anywhere. What I did think was that as a race humans like to think we are more evolved than we really are. This is the second time in 10 years that we have seen this kind of thing done to Americans. The world is savage and angry. America is savage and confident. Everybody loves to knock the cocky ones. Its just that this macho game has stakes that are too high.

I know that is a little more serious than yesterday but now I am free to be funny for the rest of the night now that I am free.
