Well ain't this the lonely place when you just begin. I feel like I am shouting into a huge empty cavern. Sometimes when you are doing a soundcheck in a big venue it feels unbelievably empty. Well this feels like a whisper with a hope the whole world might here. But I know that will change. For every empty soundcheck is followed by a full gig.(You hope)
For those that don't know I am a comedian in Ireland. Things are going quite well at the moment as I have just finished a documentary that has been recieved quite well. Since it has aired I have been on tour and I am well jaded from it all. This weekend I have another weekend of it in Vicar St. and despite my tiredness there is no better place to play in Ireland or the UK and I am still looking forward to it.
As for my day today: I woke up early to do the Strawberry alarm clock on FM104 which is a dublin radio station. Nice guys and a good laugh. Looks like the Saturday night in Vicar st has sold out since so it was worth it. Then I spent most of the day reading Mens magazines which I do not normally do....I SWEAR. I had to review them for the Dave Fanning show on 2fm a national radio station in Ireland.
Plus I spent 2 hours organising the E mail list for the International comedy club. Why it took so long was because the phone kept ringing. But my new Ibook has arrived and that was one of the calls so it was worth it. Finally after Dave's show I met the web designers who are looking after desbishop.com and ironed out the creases. Thanks to Sinead who told me about this site. It just makes life easier. See ya tomorrow.
